Parenting Partners is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering parents to take on leadership roles within their communities. The program offers a series of workshops that equip parents with essential skills to support their children's academic, emotional, and social development, all while fostering active advocacy and leadership. Each participating school boasts a trained team that conducts six in-depth workshops throughout the year, available in various languages to ensure inclusivity. Graduates of the program significantly bolster the District's efforts to enhance family engagement.

Looking ahead, Parenting Partners is set to expand its reach, with 15 school teams participating in the 2024-2025 school year. The Office of Federal Program & Grants proudly acknowledges the achievements of the latest cohort of parents, as each graduating class plays a vital role in strengthening the collaboration between the school district, parents, and the broader Newark community.
