Branch Brook School strives to provide a safe and caring learning environment where all children acquire the skills and knowledge they need to reach their greatest potential. Our philosophy is to inspire a love for learning focused on the development of student's communication, academic, social, and daily living skills. Our students engage in the Newark Board of Education’s district curriculum which is modified to ensure access to all.  What sets us apart, is the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)  methodologies such as reinforcements, shaping, prompting and sensory integration throughout the school day. The students at Branch Brook School will also benefit from the explicit instruction of activities of daily living and social skills with a strong emphasis on effective communication.

In 2024, Branch Brook School was reopened as a School for Autism.
