About Our School
Newark Evening High School has been established to:
- Provide an opportunity for adult learners who are residents of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 18 years of age or older, and officially withdrew from school. Learners are able to earn credits towards a High School Diploma or register for courses that will prepare learners for the General Education Development (GED) assessment.
- Provide the opportunity for adult learners to improve their English communication skills through English as a Second Language (ESL) courses.

We offer both a Traditional Diploma program, Accelerated Diploma program (High School Equivalency/GED) and ESL
