Budget

The Budget Director is responsible for development, management and oversight of the District’s annual budget. The Budget Director assists the School Business Administrator in identifying resources that can be reallocated to schools. The Budget Director coordinates the budget process which consists of establishing the budget calendar, providing instructions, interpreting and implementing State budget guidelines and procedures.

The Budget Director must provide Principals, Department Heads and Executive Staff with training for the annual budget. In addition, the Budget Director develops and implements new forms, systems and procedures to enhance the budget process. The Budget Director must be able to communicate effectively with all staff, state agencies and the school community.

The Budget Director is responsible for managing position control which includes ensuring that all new hires are hired against a funded position. The Budget Director is responsible for providing ad hoc analyses and detailed reports to assist management in making decisions.
