Dear Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I hope you are enjoying summer and creating wonderful memories with family and friends! I am excited to announce that I was married this past July! My new last name is Neis-Lopez, but you can call me Principal Neis. I know this will be an adjustment for many of you, so thank you in advance! I would also like to introduce our new Vice Principal Ms. Cowins. She has joined our administrative team working alongside Vice Principals Ms. Gill, and Mr. Ramos, Department Chairs Ms. Nascimento, Ms. Saberwal, Mr. Malpass, Ms. Petty, and Mr. Duncan! I am thrilled that not only are we fully staffed as a leadership team, but also as a school!

The mission of Newark Vocational High School is to provide a rigorous curriculum to prepare students for a path towards college and career readiness by working with the Newark Vocational village of parents and community partners. We seek to develop the most creative and innovative students by having a dedicated staff that conveys high expectations, and prepares students to be globally competitive.
Vision Statement
The vision of Newark Vocational High School is to promote collaborations with all stakeholders. The PTSO, Student Council, Faculty/Staff, Industry, Post-Secondary Educators, and the City of Newark constituents. We believe that every voice in the conversation is valuable and contributes to our school community’s development and progress. Our collective potential is unlimited. The Eagles will soar to unimaginable heights and achievements.
