The Office of Bilingual Education welcomed families to a Parent Advisory Meeting focused on supporting multilingual learners and fostering strong family-school partnerships. Continuing ongoing conversations, the meeting provided updates on district initiatives, resources, and strategies for enhancing student success. Parents engaged in discussions about working with their children at home and explored ways to become more involved in their education. A key feature of the event was the opportunity for families to connect with their child’s Bilingual Needs Assessment Teacher, deepening relationships and reinforcing collaborative efforts to meet each student’s needs.
The meeting also offered breakfast, creating a warm and inclusive environment for families. Parents received resources from the Office of Bilingual Education and had the opportunity to select books to build home libraries for their children, promoting literacy and a love for reading. This gathering underscored the District’s ongoing commitment to empowering families as vital partners in education, celebrating progress, and sharing strategies to support the multilingual community.
