The Office of Federal Programs & Grants is excited about the partnership with Parenting Partners. This program highlights Newark Public School’s commitment to fostering a supportive and collaborative educational environment. Using a train-the-trainer model, this program aligns with Strategy 4.7 of the Next Decade: 2020-30 Strategic Plan. The 2023-2024 cohort developed parenting and leadership skills that empower parents to become vital contributors to their children’s academic success. This year’s cohort included: American History High School, Arts High School, Dr. E. Alma Flagg, Harriet Tubman, Ironbound Academy, Lincoln, Luis Muñoz Marin, Newark Vocational High School, Quitman Street, Sir Isaac Newton, Sussex Avenue, and Thirteenth Avenue School.

The Office of Federal Programs & Grants continues to strengthen partnerships between the District, parents, and the entire Newark community. Along with dedicated leadership, committed staff and families, this program was a success. Together, NBOE continues to build a stronger and more engaged school community.
