On Thursday, May 23, 2024, Malcolm X Shabazz High School's Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) Program students attended New Jersey's JAG Career Development Conference at The College of New Jersey.
Students from schools in New Jersey competed in competitions ranging from Employability Skills, Public Speaking, Creative Problem Solving, Chapter Banner, Presentation, Career Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Career Display.
MXS JAG leaders won in five competitions, winning awards in first, second, and third place.
Looking ahead, MXS HS JAG leaders, in collaboration with JAG Specialist Rafeeza Shahabudeen, are excited to continue fostering job shadowing, career development, interview skills, trauma-informed care, guest speakers, and project-based learning. These skills will equip students for the future and beyond.
