More than 70 students at Barringer High School in Newark recently learned about the diverse career opportunities in the accounting sector.
The May 31 event was organized through a partnership between the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA), EVERFI and the Center for Audit Quality’s Accounting+ program.
The Accounting Careers: Limitless Opportunities education initiative was developed by the Center for Audit Quality in partnership with EVERFI. The national program aims to drive student knowledge and interest in the accounting industry. It focuses on the most diverse school districts to help diversify the talent pipeline and provide access and opportunity for all students.
