On June 11, 2024, the staff and students of Bruce Street School for the Deaf celebrated Deaf Awareness and Deaf Love with the help of some wonderful special guests during their annual Deaf Pride Celebration!
Students developed exciting performances to showcase their talents, vendors from the Deaf community came to share information as well as goods, Deaf mentees Thyson Halley and Beautiful the Artist attended to teach Deaf advocacy and self love. Alumni, community members, families, and NPS BOE staff came together to celebrate the beauty of ASL, the richness of Deaf culture, and the importance of self-advocacy.
