The Roberto Clemente school community received significant funding from News 12’s Friendship Bracelet Program through a Donors Choose application submitted by first-year music educator Timothy Amalfitano. The funding will allow the school to purchase instruments to enhance the music program, allow students to explore their musical talents, and strengthen their performing arts education.

The Office of Visual and Performing Arts staff development session in August featured a workshop on grant writing led by one of their expert consultants. This experience equipped arts educators with the skills and tools needed to successfully apply for grants. The workshop’s impact was immediate, resulting in a successful application for this funding, which will enrich the school’s arts curriculum and inspire the next generation of musicians.
