Uniting Voices Chicago (formerly Chicago Children's Choir) collaborated for a musical experience at Speedway Avenue School. Principal Jiles and the Speedway Avenue School community welcomed the group while they were touring the metropolitan area. The group is composed of youth from diverse backgrounds across the City of Chicago who come together as global leaders through music. During the visit, Uniting Chicago music directors taught songs to Speedway Avenue choir students who then performed with the group during a school assembly. The performance concluded with special selections from Uniting Voices followed by a Q&A. Last year Uniting Voices collaborated with Wilson Avenue School and is looking forward to visiting another District school in the future.
