Amanda Palumbo of Abington Avenue Elementary School has been selected as the recipient of Art Educators of New Jersey’s (AENJ) 2024 Linda Lora Pugliese Youth Art Month Award. The Linda Lora Pugliese Youth Art Month (YAM Award) was established to honor former AENJ President, Linda Pugliese, whose dedication to Youth Art Month was rewarded with the first National Claire Flanagan Grand Award.
Ms. Palumbo is being recognized as a current county YAM chair who has done the most to increase support for quality art programs and exhibits throughout Essex County. The District congratulates Ms. Palumbo on her outstanding achievements and remarkable contributions representing and honoring the creativity of students and drawing notice to NBOE Arts programs that have earned her this well-deserved recognition.
