Congratulations to the Science Park Girls Soccer Team on their second division title in 3 years.
This season the girls were the SEC Independence Division Champions with a record 5-1 and 11-8 overall. This was quite an accomplishment especially when considering the team had gone through 5 goal keepers during the season due to injury. Another critical injury was to 4 year senior captain center back Karla Garay.
The team was then lead by Junior captains Anahi Buestan and Talya Lema. Both of whom received First Team All Conference awards for their division.
Second Team honors went to sophomores Sabrina Aguilar, Amya Rodriguez, Ayelen Romero and Kiara Fernandez as well as freshman Christie Carfi. Honorable mention went to Raeghan Esteves-Johnson.
The team was coached by assistants Samantha Barbeito and Mike Buestan and head coach Joseph Capitani.
