Over 150 Support Staff Attend the 2nd Annual OSL Conference

The Office of Student Life held its 2nd Annual Office of Student Life (OSL) Conference with this year’s theme, Making an I.M.P.A.C.T - Substance Abuse and Awareness. During the conference, the Student Assistance Coordinators (SACs) delivered a comprehensive outline of the newly developed protocol manual and the roles and responsibilities of the I.M.P.A.C.T. Team (Implement, Monitor, Provide, Assist, Collaborate, and Tailor intervention and prevention strategies). The District policy (5131.6) was also featured in the SACs presentation to School Counselors and Social Worker 2s. Attendees had the opportunity to select two breakout sessions focused on responding to substance use, current drug trends, the opioid crisis, and marijuana and the law.
