The Newark School of Fashion and Design opened three years ago with a curriculum powered by the Parsons School of Design. The idea of creating Newark Fashion Forward as a way to raise the Newark School of Fashion and Design’s visibility was the brainchild of Chief of Staff Havier Nazario. The District commissioned The Palette Group to shoot and edit the series. The project was overseen by Nancy Deering, Director of Board Relations, with assistance from LaShon Blake in the Board Relations Office and Malcolm Clark in the Communications Department.
