With a strong background in instructional practices and a passion for creating positive learning environments, Marvelis has consistently made significant contributions throughout her career.

Her unwavering commitment to education is deeply rooted in her personal journey as a first-generation American. Witnessing her family’s sacrifices and determination to provide her with every opportunity, Marvelis is inspired to make a profound impact on the lives of students. She creates inclusive learning environments where all students can thrive and reach their full potential, regardless of their background.

With extensive experience as Vice Principal, Principal, and Math Director, Marvelis has consistently demonstrated her ability to drive academic excellence and cultivate a positive school culture. Her visionary leadership has resulted in innovative programs, collaborative environments among educators, and a student-centered approach to learning.

Marvelis's achievements extend to successfully opening three schools, including a multi-million dollar high school from the ground up. Under her guidance, these institutions have embraced modern learning spaces that prioritize student engagement and achievement. Furthermore, her dedication has led to the initiation of an internship program, providing students with valuable real-world experiences for future success.

Marvelis is also actively involved in community initiatives. As a board member for Girls on the Run, she contributed to empowering young girls through physical activity and mentorship. Additionally, together with her husband, Marvelis co-founded Help Me Up, a nonprofit organization based in her hometown of Elizabeth, NJ. This organization aims to uplift and support individuals in need, particularly focusing on providing resources and assistance to underprivileged children. Marvelis’s sons, Paul and Gabriel, actively contribute to the organization, reflecting the family’s shared commitment to fostering a compassionate and inclusive society. Through Help Me Up, they create opportunities for children to engage in sports, receive mentorship, and access essential resources that promote their growth as global citizens and level the playing field for all.
