[Newark, NJ] The Newark Board of Education (NBOE) is thrilled to announce its prestigious recognition with the 2023–2024 Meritorious Budget Award (MBA) from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO). This marks the 13th time that NBOE has received this esteemed award, with an outstanding achievement of 12 consecutive years.
The Meritorious Budget Award is a testament to the District’s commitment to fiscal integrity and sound financial practices. ASBO International, a renowned organization dedicated to advancing the highest standards in school business management, has recognized the District for its excellence in budget presentation and fiscal responsibility.
