Register to Vote!
A change in voting laws has lowered Newark’s voting age to 16. That means, any eligible citizen who is a NEWARK RESIDENT and 16-years-old by April 15, 2025 can vote in the next school board election.
You must register by March 25, 2025.
How to Register
- Option 1: Get a Voter Registration Application from your high school’s Main Office or Guidance Office.
- Option 2: Download the form: https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/register
Be sure to return your completed application to your high school’s Main Office or Guidance Office.
This is the first time Newark students can have a voice in the decisions that affect them the most.
