[Newark, NJ – July 25, 2018] – Superintendent of Newark Public Schools Roger León will appear on Tiempo with host Joe Torres on Sunday, July 29, 2018. The show airs at 11:30 a.m. on WABC-TV, Channel 7.
Tiempo is the weekly news magazine program that focuses on issues impacting the Latino community in the tri-state area. Superintendent León will speak about new strategies for NPS and exploring ways to improve the student experience and academic success for all students; as well as the importance of parent and community engagement.
The Superintendent will also speak about the return of Newark Public Schools to local control, after 22 years of state control. Host Joe Torres congratulated the Superintendent, school district employees, staff, students and parent on the return of the schools to local control.
