Our after-school chess club is open to all students who are interested in learning or improving their chess skills, regardless of experience level. We have students who are rated players and regularly attend local and state-wide rated tournaments. We also have players who just start learning with a great passion of this game. Players meet once a week after school on Fridays in classroom 101. Each session includes a mix of guided instruction, strategy discussions, and casual games. We aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment where students can develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning through the game of chess.
