Speedway Avenue School is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all students. Harassment, intimidation, and bullying (HIB) are strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. All reported incidents will be investigated promptly and in accordance with New Jersey law and Newark Board of Education policy.

Our Goals
To achieve our collective vision, the Newark Board of Education (NBOE) works hand in hand with Speedway, families, and community partners through six collaborative goals:

Equip students with coping strategies to manage anxiety and low-mood episodes.

Ensure students receive timely, evidence-based prevention and intervention supports through a multi-tiered schoolwide system (SST, CST, I&RS).

Offer students and families access to comprehensive educational supports and community resources at both micro and macro levels.
