Attendance
🕒 Attendance Matters — Family Letter (2025–2026)
Every day counts — on time, on track, on purpose.
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! As we begin, we want to remind everyone of the critical importance of regular school attendance. Coming to school every day and on time supports academic success, builds healthy routines, and keeps students engaged in learning and social development.
📘 Attendance Expectations (NJ State Law)
- ✔️New Jersey law requires daily school attendance unless there is a valid, documented excuse (e.g., illness, religious observance, or a family emergency with appropriate notice).
- ⚠️Unexcused absences are taken seriously. At five (5) unexcused absences, a mandatory meeting will be scheduled with a Court Representative. Continued unexcused absences may result in a referral to an Essex County Judge and the Prosecutor’s Office for further legal action.
🤝 How Families Can Help
