The conclusion of a successful fall sports season provides an opportunity to acknowledge the accomplishments of student-athletes throughout the District. A notable highlight from this season is the remarkable achievement of the girls' volleyball teams. For the first time in district history, every high school with a girls' volleyball program has secured a spot in the state playoffs. This significant milestone showcases the dedication, talent, and perseverance of the student-athletes, coaches, and support staff. Congratulations are in order for Central and Technology high schools, both of which captured SEC divisional titles.

In addition to the volleyball success, several high school soccer and football teams have also made notable progress this season, qualifying for the state playoffs and winning SEC divisional titles. Particular excitement surrounds the Malcolm X Shabazz Bulldogs football team, which is aiming for back-to-back sectional titles. Following a strong season, the Bulldogs are well-positioned to defend their title and potentially make history once more.
