- Learn the basic components of what constitutes a crime and how crimes are investigated and tried, including distinguishing between misdemeanors and felonies as well as the adult and juvenile offender process.
- Learn the basic components of tort, consumer, housing and family law, including an examination of the legal theories and philosophies that underlie these areas of the law.
- Obtain a practical understanding of constitutional law and how the issues addressed by cases involving the U.S. Constitution impact society in general as well as our individual daily lives.
