Newark Public Schools Student Accepted to Prestigious Biomedical Engineering Program at Westlake University, China
Newark, NJ - Andres Maldonado, an 11th-grade student at Newark School of Data Science and Information Technology, recently received acceptance into a prestigious summer pre-college program at Westlake University in Hangzhou, China. This exclusive program only accepts 15 students nationwide, and Andres will study Biomedical Engineering abroad. The program aims to provide high school students worldwide an opportunity to engage academically and culturally with China. Participants can look forward to conducting research in Engineering, Biology, and Chemistry, collaborating with leading global faculty in cutting-edge lab facilities, and taking part in various Chinese-foreign cultural exchange events.
This highly exclusive program, which has drawn students from around the globe, offers substantial financial aid packages. Chosen participants, such as Andres, will only be asked to contribute a nominal fee of $500, which covers all program expenses. This includes tuition, accommodation, international airfare, meals, textbooks, supplies, and any other associated costs.
Upon completion, all participants will receive a program certificate and exceptional students like Andres will be given priority for admission into Westlake undergraduate programs and scholarships. This is an exceptional opportunity for Andres to advance his education and career.
