Project Alpha at Roberto Clemente Elementary School – Celebrating Three Successful Years and Beginning Our Fourth!

Roberto Clemente Elementary School is proud to announce the start of our fourth consecutive year of partnership with Project Alpha for the 2026–2027 school year! Following another successful year in June 2026, this impactful mentoring program continues to empower, inspire, and guide our young men toward becoming confident, responsible, and successful leaders.
Through our ongoing partnership with the Alpha Alpha Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Project Alpha provides our scholars with positive male role models, valuable life lessons, academic encouragement, social-emotional support, and meaningful opportunities for personal growth. The program continues to make a lasting difference by reinforcing the importance of leadership, character, accountability, brotherhood, and service.
During our June 2026 celebration, led by Mr. Curtis White and Mr. Jermaine Blount, Director of Mentoring Services for the Newark Board of Education, we were honored to welcome Mayor Ras Baraka, a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Mayor Baraka joined us in recognizing the accomplishments of our young men and shared inspiring words about the power of mentorship, leadership, and community service.
As we begin our fourth year, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Project Alpha, Mr. Curtis White, Mr. Blount, and all the dedicated mentors for their continued commitment to our scholars. Their investment in our young men reflects the true spirit of #TheClementeWay and reinforces our mission: Collaboration = Success for All.
We look forward to another outstanding year of mentoring, growth, brotherhood, and developing the next generation of leaders!
