About

Greetings and welcome to the website for New Jersey Regional Day School. This new school year begins with a continued focus on excellence. Our educational program promotes social and emotional development, educational life skills and communication skills. Our teachers and staff are highly qualified and committed to ensuring every student meets their greatest potential. New Jersey Regional Day School is an extraordinary learning community. The What Sets Us Apart Tab will allow you to explore what sets us apart from other schools.

To ensure each student receives data-driven instruction tailored to realizing their individual learning goals, we have continue to use the Rethink program. This program aims to place evidence-based treatment solutions in the hands of every educator and clinician working at New Jersey Regional Day. Rethink leverages the power of technology to provide clinical support, best-practice tools, and research-based content. All parents can have access to use the valuable resources provided by this program including training videos. Please visit our web site’s curriculum tab for more information.

We will continue to foster an effective, compassionate learning community. Our Step up to Success Positive School Behavior System will continue. Students are rewarded for meeting behavior goals and making good decisions. The Step Up to Success tab will provide you with details of this wonderful program. Each month we will promote a different school-wide, community value. Our Random Acts of Kindness program was created to integrate intentional kindness skill-building instruction with the development of social and emotional competencies. Rethink SEL provides lessons along with training videos for staff and parents. For more information look for the Random Acts of Kindness program in the academics tab.

Every school day counts in a child’s academic life. A missed school day is a lost opportunity for students to learn and grow. We will be promoting great student attendance in a variety of ways this school year. Students with great attendance will be recognized and celebrated. Our student support team will be working with parents to assist in removing any barriers preventing students from getting to school. Families are our greatest partners in student learning. We recognize the many challenges they face. Please visit our Families Tab for ways of contacting our student and family support team members and teachers. You will also find valuable resources there.

I believe we are embarking on an incredible year. I predict our students will make huge strides academically, socially and emotionally.
