Dear Belmont Runyon Families,

Welcome to the 2026–27 school year at Thee Belmont Runyon! Our theme this year is: “NO FEAR, NO LIMITS, NO EXCUSES!” 

This year I look forward to continuing to lay the groundwork that my administrative team and I began laying in the 25-26 SY. A new year means new beginnings, another chance to make first impressions, and an opportunity for our scholars to set bold, new reachable goals. This year I need all our scholars to DREAM BIG, like they have never dreamed before, I need them to embrace new challenges, and I need them to make this year truly Indelible!

Parents, I require you to commit to working with our scholars this school year. I need them in school EVERY DAY, ON-TIME, and IN THEIR UNIFORM! Uniforms promote Equity & Fairness, Focus & Academic Mindset, Convenience for Families, Safety & Security, School Culture & Community, and lastly a Simplified Morning Routine for you and your child/ren. This is the FIRST STEP to their SUCCESS! Commit to having your scholar wear their uniform for the first 21 days of school and it will become a HABIT!

Summer Reading: All Pre-K–8 students must read the assigned book and complete 3 activities: Link. Summer assignments are DUE September 8, 2026. 

First Day of School: Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026

School Hours: 8:15 AM–3:05 PM

Uniforms: Navy bottoms with yellow/navy polo or dress shirt. 8th Grade ONLY will wear ALL NAVY. Gym Days: yellow/blue t-shirt + blue sweatpants. Blue sweaters or hoodless sweatshirts are okay. Please avoid open-toe/open back shoes, Crocs, Uggs, or hoodies, they are not allowed!

Before/After-School Programs: Begin Sept. 8, apply now!!! Before Care App -  After School App

Ingress (Enter)/Egress (Exit):

  • Pre-K: South Tower Entrance (Parents can escort children to class).
  • K–2: Rotunda
  • 3–8: School Lawn

 

Key Dates:

  • Aug 29, 2026 – Parent/Student Convocation Meet and Greet: 10 AM - 11:30 AM (Gr. 3-5) & 12 PM – 1:30 PM PM (Gr. 6–8)
  • Sept 8, 2026 – Summer Academic Packets Due
  • Sept 12, 2026 – Back to School Barbecue
  • Sept 17, 2026 – Title I/Back to School Night (6–8 PM)
