Gail Horowitz

Dr. Horowitz has graduate degrees in Organic Chemistry and Science Education and has been teaching Chemistry for three decades. Dr. Horowitz came to Bard because she is particularly interested in working with science students who are minorities, immigrants and/or the first in their families to go to college.  She feels passionately about social justice, specifically about making sure that all students receive quality educations, especially in the areas of science and mathematics. Her book, Teaching STEM to First Generation College Students: A Guidebook for Faculty and Future Faculty has just been published.
