MAP Assessments (Math and English Language Arts /Literacy/Science) Grades K-8
MAP Assessments provide valuable information for students, parents and educators on whether students are progressing towards mastery of grade level content standards and are on track to graduate prepared for the 21st century. These assessment results are intended to provide one measure in a body of evidence of a child’s academic progress. The MAP Test assessments reveal precisely which academic skills and concepts your child has acquired and what he/she is ready to learn. MAP assessments are grade independent and adapt to each student’s instructional level.
Testing Windows: Window 1: September 2024, Window 2: February 2025 Window 3: May 2025
PSAT 8/9 Grade 8 only
A way for students to practice for and preview the redesigned SAT and to receive more information about their academic strengths and weakness. The results will be used to identify the knowledge, skills, and understandings that research has identified as most important for college and career readiness and success. Students recieve access to results via their College Board accounts.

High School Entrance Exam
The Stanford Achievement Test, Tenth Edition® provides a valid and reliable measure of academic achievement which enables educators to make important instructional decisions for each student. This online, multiple-choice assessment along with an essay comprise the District’s High School Entrance Exam.

2024-2025 NPS Assessment Program
NJSLA Math and ELA, Grades 3 - 8
NJSLA (New Jersey Student Learning Assessment) is a online summative assessment that provides one measure of the degree to which students have mastered the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards in Mathematics and ELA at the end of each grade level.
NJSLA results provide a picture of student performance to schools, districts, teachers, parents and the community. Results show how students are progressing academically, which is a key component to ensuring students are on track to graduate prepared for college and career. Teachers use NJSLA results to enhance instruction in order to meet individual student needs. Schools and districts use NJSLA results to make adjustments to instructional programming for the following year.

W-APT Kindergarten
This screening test is administered to incoming English learners in Kindergartern to provide teachers a baseline of the student's English language proficiency in the areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Wida Screener
Online screening test administered to all incoming English learners to provide teachers a baseline of the student's English language proficiency in the areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The results are used to determine the student's English language proficiency level upon entry and placement into appropriate services.
WIDA MODEL
Online is an English language proficiency assessment for students in grades 1-12. As a flexible, on-demand assessment, this test can be administered at any time during the school year, depending on the needs of the district, school, teacher, or student. Scores from WIDA MODEL Online can be used to predict student performance on ACCESS for ELLs.

WIDA ACCESS – ELL Grades K - 8 Feb 2025
Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State-to-State for English Language Learners (ACCESS 2.0) is a online summative assessment that assesses English language proficiency in the domains of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. It is adminstered online in grades 1-8.
The results are used to inform teachers of the level of English language proficiency of each student and to determine the type of instruction needed. The results of this summative assessment are also considered when determining whether or not ELL students are ready to exit from their ESL/Bilingual service programs.
