Amy Woods earned her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Montclair State University before obtaining her Alternate Route Certification in 2010. She began her career in an out-of-district special education setting and later spent six years in Paterson as a teacher in the Autism program. In 2021, she joined Newark's Office of Special Education and most recently worked as the supervisor of the Preschool Disabilities program. Ms. Woods is deeply passionate about educating children with Autism and takes great joy in supporting the unique intelligence of all children.
