Passionate about student success and STEM education, Ms. Patil has led initiatives that include NASA programs, Science Olympiad, robotics, and hands-on environmental learning experiences. She believes students learn best when high expectations are paired with engaging instruction, meaningful relationships, and a supportive school community.
Ms. Patil is committed to helping students develop the critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. She looks forward to partnering with students, families, and staff to ensure every child feels valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.
Brenda Lee
Vice Principal
Brenda R. Lee, educator and transformative leader has dedicated over twenty-seven years to public education. Over the last twenty-seven years, Ms. Lee has served within the Newark Public Schools.Ms. Lee is a trained restorative practices leader and has presented at conferences, educational trainings, parent meetings, and community meetings. Ms. Lee documented her experience with restorative practices and the impact of restorative practices in a presentation entitled, “Zero Tolerance Ends where Restorative Practices are embraced; A Presentation from an Urban School Perspective” at the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP), Bethlehem, PA and The City University of New York.
Ms. Lee is also active in her civic community. She serves on the board of the Jamaica Organization of New Jersey (JON-J) Essex Chapter as Treasurer. Ms. Lee is president of the Greater Newark Alliance of Black School Educators, Inc. (GNABSE). Ms. Lee was chair for two years of the Thurgood Marshall Freedom Fund Committee of Montclair NAACP Branch and former executive committee member under the leadership of Mrs. Ruth C. Taylor. Commissioner Lee was appointed by Governor Phil Murphy to serve on the New Jersey Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Commission and serves as chair of the Scholarship Committee. Additionally, Ms. Lee is a proud member of the Interfaith Action Movement (I AM) under the leadership of Reverend Derrick Green. Ms. Lee serves as Saturday Morning Worship leader on the IAM Prayer Call for the past 5 years. Ms. Lee is committed to serving out her life aligned to the principles of God’s Word and serves in various ministries locally, nationally and internationally.
Ms. Lee is a member at Union Baptist Church in Montclair, NJ where she serves as chair of the Education & Career Ministry. Ms. Lee is a proud member of The Montclair Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Additionally, Ms. Lee is a recent graduate of Leadership Newark.
Ms. Lee is director and owner of the Transformative Consultants Group, LLC. The company’s goal is to partner with schools and communities to transform culture and climate by strengthening and restoring relationships resulting in student social and academic growth.
