Welcome Back Letter
August 12, 2021
Dear Salomé Ureña Families,
Welcome Back to the 2021-2022 school year. I hope this letter finds everyone safe, healthy and enjoying summer. We are proud and grateful for our school community and their achievements and perseverance during the last school year. I am sure everyone is eager for school to reopen! We have been working rigorously to create a plan that maximizes teaching and learning while focusing on student well-being and safety.
Joining our administrative team this year is Mrs. Melissa McSweeney, a long-term Newark educator. Together, Principal Marques, Vice Principal Silva and Vice Principal McSweeney, remain steadfast in the continued commitment to academic excellence, innovative practices, school safety, and inclusive excellence for all of our students.
As we are planning for September, it is extremely important that you read this letter carefully as it will contain a great deal of information regarding the school year.
