The Scheduling Setup Page is now available to mark the Graduates and Non-Graduates.
Verify the CDS codes in the NJ State page. Non-Newark residents attending your school should have these fields populated.
These fields must be left blank for Newark Residents.

To Identify Graduates
There are two pages in Power School that MUST be populated in order for a student to be “graduated” and appear on the Grad List and be moved to the “Graduated School”
Scheduling Setup Page
This is where you will
- identify the Next Year Grade
- identify Next School Indicator
- select Year of Graduation
- deselect Schedule this student

- enter data on how the testing requirements were met
- enter the graduation date

Reports
The two reports listed below are required as part of the Graduation Verification check-out. The combination of these reports should be the total number of active 12th graders for a school.
Seniors Missing Graduation Data
This report will help you identify missing data for students:
- NPS Reports → sqlReports4 → Graduation Data Management → Seniors Missing Graduation Data
The Grad List Report
This report reflects students who have met ALL graduation criteria, all required fields are populated

Graduating Students: Scheduling Set-up Page
All the students who are graduating in 2016-17 School Year the following fields MUST be populated on the Scheduling Setup Page:
- Next Year Grade = 99
- Schedule This Student box MUST = blank [unchecked]
- Year of Graduation = 2017
- Next School Indicator = Graduated Students
Special Note: Schools will also be updating the Scheduling Set-up page for 9-11 graders for scheduling purposes in May-June.
What students can I change in the Scheduling Set-up Page?
- If the student transferred from school A to school B in 16-17 and did NOT participate in the Universal Enrollment Application Process but transferred through at the Family Support Center, the student will continue in school B for 17-18. You can change the Next School and check Schedule this Student.
- Verify the School Force expected to attend list. If you do not see some of these students in PowerScheduler contact the current school and have them change the Next School to your school and delete any course requests.
- If the student wishes to transfer to another school that is not B, the student must have either been matched through Universal Enrollment Application or go to the Family Support Center for placement.
- Current 9th – 11th graders who are not coming back to the school: Must provide documentation from parent before unchecking “schedule this student.” Follow the guidelines for transfers in the End of the Year Tasks guidance.
Graduating Students: Graduation Data Page
- Select the student who will be graduating in June 2017
- Click on Custom Screens
- Click on Graduation Data
- Enter values in the 3 fields for the student you are confirming will graduate in June.
The Graduation Data Page in PowerSchool MUST have the first 4 fields populated.

Non-Graduating Students: Scheduling Set-up Page
If the student is NOT graduating in June the following fields MUST be populated:
- Next Year Grade = 12
- Next School Indicator = Current School
- It is suggested that the Schedule This Student box be checked
Non-Graduating Students: Graduation Data Page
Select the student who will not be graduating in June 2017
- Click on Custom Screens
- Click on Graduation Data
