For tomorrow—— Hawkins Street School is the home to a great community filled with some of the most amazing kids in Newark. From NJPAC to Disney in our Schools to a Verizon Grant our students have opportunities that are countless. Today is the day you also have the opportunity to be a part of the Hawkins happenings. We are in search of people who have an Essex County  substitute certificate.

Our school has an awesome location right in the Ironbound section of Newark. The Ironbound is an area known for delicious food and a variety of cultures. We are easily accessible  to 1 & 9, Parkway, Turnpike, and Route 21-McCarter Highway.  We can offer you the possibility for growth-training to become a certified teacher. Come and join our team.
