We are excited to share with you the wonderful opportunities that await you at your Newark Public Schools Marion A. Bolden Student Center. Located in the North Ward, across from Technology High School, this 3 floor Student Center is yours to explore with a great variety of workshops, special events, meeting spaces, performances, field trips and socialization.
Every day that school is open from September 30-May 31, the Bolden Student Center is a place where you can come afterschool to do homework, access tutoring, receive meals and snacks, in addition to participating in workshops of your interest. Perhaps you want to play video games, basketball or make arts and crafts, you can do that here too!
In 2008, the Bolden Center opened for all Newark high school students to gather. The one of a kind Bolden Center is home to spaces such as the Media Center, Gaming Room, Dance Studio, Recording Studio, TV Studio or Black Box Theatre.
If you want to create something, explore a topic or receive assistance with looking for a job or preparing for college, the staff at the Bolden Student Center is here to support you.
Please contact us directly or speak to your school’s counselor to assist you with getting here. We have buses from every Newark Public Schools high school, as well as transportation home at the end of the program. Our doors are open for you and we look forward to having you here!
Best wishes for a wonderful school year!
