On Friday, August 7th, 2020, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, Avon Avenue School will be hosting a live Webex to help families navigate through Newark Enrolls (School Mint) to create an account and complete the Remote Instruction Form.
During this time, the Webex Host will only be able to provide specific information on Avon Avenue School Students, but will still assist anyone who needs help muddling through the process.
If using a mobile device, keep in mind that you will need to download Webex from the Google Play or Apple App Store.

The Avon Avenue School community mourns the lost of one of it's star team members, Tammy Williams.
An excerpt from her obituary:
"Tammy was raised in Newark NJ and received her education from Newark, New Jersey Public Schools. Tammy has spent many years employed, as a Teacher Aide, with the Newark Board of Education, at Avon Ave School, in Newark NJ, that she loved and she also was employed with the Boys and Girls Club, in Newark NJ. During her life, Tammy enjoyed spending time with her children, family, and the many of friends, that crossed her path. She was a member of the Newark, Eastern Star Association. Tammy’s hobbies were shoe shopping, clothes shopping, bowling, and a true Dallas Cowboy’s fan. Tammy was a loving, caring and devoted person, to her mother, children, sisters, and brothers. Tammy endured many aches, illness, and pain during her time here on this earth, but she kept moving on. If anyone ever asked, “Tammy,” how are you doing? Her response always, was, I am okay, do not worry about me. No matter what, she always wanted people to know, that she and her children, were doing just fine."
We love you, Tammy! You will always be our Avon D.I.V.A.:
Diligence: You took every assignment seriously. Every task was done with excellence, whether it was shepherding your individual students, or holding down the middle school lunch with me for years! Inspirational: Even when I knew you were hurting, you kept pushing on! Vivacious: Your style was always on point - and your eyeshadow complimented every outfit perfectly! Authentic: You were genuinely interested in everyone you spoke to, and you showed true love and compassion.
Tammy was so loving, supportive, and stylish in many ways. She was always smiling and willing to assist. She was extremely supportive to her colleagues and students. Her style was one of a kind, everything matched from head to toe🤗. She will truly be missed. She was one special gem in the bunch. We love and appreciate our time spent with such a lovely soul. She will forever be apart of the "A".
Thank you for always welcoming me with a smile. You genuinely asked me, "How are you Ms. Winstead?" and you never let me walk away without a response. You had a special role that impacted so many students' lives. I thank you for your service.
Thank you for always smiling and spreading joy, even without knowing it. We will continue to celebrate your life and tremendous commitment to Avon.
