Attendance Notice/Aviso de asistencia

Attendance Notice

Regular class attendance is required for students to succeed in meeting their individual education goals. Students enrolled in adult education classes must attend the required hours per week. Students are encouraged to attend all classes.

As part of our commitment to student success and to ensure that all students receive the best instruction possible at the Newark Board of Education Adult Learning Program, we will regularly monitor student progress through the pre and post-test. After approximately 26 hours of instruction or 6 weeks of regular class attendance, students will take a post-test to determine development.

Students who maintain a 75% attendance rate and a passing grade will be automatically enrolled in the next course when the new cycle begins. Students who do not meet this criteria will be placed on a waiting list. Students who have not completed a post-test with their teachers will not be re-enrolled for the following cycle until they have met this requirement.

I have read and understand this notice.

He leído y entiendo este aviso.
