Children born on or after January 1, 1997 and enrolled in grades six or seven, or a comparable age level special education program, or transferring into a New Jersey school from another state or country into sixth or seventh grade are required to receive a booster dose of tetanus, diphtheria and acellular pertussis (Tdap), if it has been more than five years since their last DPT vaccine. They should receive the Tdap after becoming 10 years old.
Children born on or after January 1, 1997 and enrolled in grade six or seven, or a comparable age level special education program, or transferring into a New Jersey school from another state or country into the sixth or seventh grade are required to receive one dose of a meningococcal-containing vaccine after becoming 11 years old.
All preschool students must have received the Pneumococcal vaccine after the first birthday and the influenza vaccine by December 31st . Again please be reminded that all students under age 5 must still get their influenza vaccine prior to December 31st .
