Second Floor Youth Helpline: If you are between the ages of 10 and 24, live in New Jersey, and need to talk about an issue or problem that you are facing call or text anytime at 888-222-2228.

With all the talk of businesses closing, there are some businesses that are hiring.  Industry sectors that have been deemed “essential” — like shipping, food distribution and health care — are hiring. Estimates indicate there may be as may as 8,000 jobs available. To take the effort out of finding them, the state has set up a 

Newark Food Service-Hotline (Seniors and Families)

Newark seniors and families with financial need can call the city at the number below to put in a grocery shopping request. They will shop for you and deliver the groceries to your home. When you call, you will be asked questions to verify eligibility. Newark educators, please let your students & their families know. The number is 973-733-5728.

Families can pick up pancakes and muffins for breakfast from 8- 10 am  and sandwiches for lunch to students between 12-2pm until schools reopen.  Per my call today, this service continues and food will be distributed during the times indicated.
