Sadie Nash’s Free Afterschool Programs Now Accepting Applications!

Sadie Nash Leadership Project is currently recruiting young women leaders in high school for three exciting afterschool programs: Sisterhood Academy, Leadership Scholars and CompUGirls! All classes are completely free, and will run from October – May. Participants can earn a stipend up to $300 based on attendance. Applications are available online on our website here.
- Sisterhood Academyis an interactive class that will focus on identity, leadership development, career and life options, healthy relationships, wellness, and creative self-expression. Students can choose to join the Tuesday or Thursday class. Class is from 4:30pm – 6:00pm.
- Leadership Scholarsis open only to This class will bring educational justice, college readiness and college prep together to empower students to think critically about education and prepare them for their next steps. Class meets Wednesdays from 4:30pm – 6:00pm.
- CompUGirls is a technology based class where young women will use learn about digital media, game development, and virtual worlds. Class will meet Saturdays from 12:00pm – 3pm.
Young women can apply online or on paper via the attached application. Paper applications can be mailed to 31 Mulberry St. Newark, NJ 07102. Applications are due Friday, October 2nd, 2015. Applicants will be invited for a group interview the following week on October 6th, 7th and 8th. All applicants must attend the interview to be considered.
