Science Park faculty members, Suzanne Poole and Kurt Patzelt are planning a scientific research trip to Peru through the organization Operation Wallacea from March 20 to April 1 of the upcoming school year. The trip is open to all future (2015-2016) biology students and will incorporate skills and content that students will be learning in the biology curriculum. Students will be working hands on to collect data with actual scientists in the field. This trip will not only be educational, but it will be a once in a lifetime experience that many high school students never have the opportunity to receive. Not only that, it will be an excellent addition to any college application! If you would like to find out more about it, we will be holding an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 20th at 6 p.m in the Media Center. Refreshments will be provided.
