Teens n Tech
Teens n Tech is a fun, free, and innovative new program developed by NJAE to expose and develop technical skills needed for today’s ever growing field of information technology.
New Jersey Advocates for Education (NJAE) was founded in 2004 and is a non-profit organization dedicated to combining scholarships with guidance and mentorship to students in inner city high schools in Essex County. This free pilot program is aimed at helping students develop computer skills in order to create and design web pages and mobile apps.
During Teens n Tech, students will utilize and enhance their interpersonal skills – communication, leadership, critical and creative thinking – as well as team building and the all-important 21st century skill of collaboration.
Teens n Tech is a 6 week program that will meet 3 days a week at Science Park and is open to girls and boys entering the 10th grade in September 2016. Students who commit to the program cannot miss more than 2 sessions. Breakfast and lunch will be provided!
