If you are having issues logging into google classroom

In order to access an American History Google classroom students need to be signed in to google classroom with their Newark Public Schools District Account

If you are are using a Google Chrome browser,

 - be sure that you are signed into the browser to access all District Google Products (i.e Docs, Sheets, Slides and Classroom) 

Steps to sign in to Chrome

To sign in to Chrome, you'll need your NPS District Account. 

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. In the top right, click the button with your name or People People icon.
  3. Click Sign in to Chrome.
  4. If you have another account signed into chrome simply click "add another account"
  5. Sign in with your NPS Google Account.  (this includes your firstname.lunchcode@nullnps.k12.njus     ex: tim.56476@nullnps.k12.nj.us    Use your grade level password.
  6. You should then see a second login screen that displays the Newark skyline. 
  7.  From here, use just your school ID - ex: 56476  and your grade level password.
 
Now that you're signed in, you can access the all google apps (Docs and Classroom) by clicking on the "waffle"  (9 dots in the upper right on the google chrome screen) 
 

If you are using an internet browser other than Google Chrome (i.e. Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc, etc) 

 
You should be able to simply sign in to Google classroom from the google classroom page here:
 
 
Sign in again with your full district ID, the one that includes @NPS.k12.nj.us 
 
You should then see a second login screen that displays the Newark skyline.   From here, use just your school ID - 56476  and your grade level password.
 
And you should enter google classrooms where you can add a class by "clicking" on the plus icon in the upper right.
