BOE SUPPORTS STUDENTS WiFi ACCESS!
This school year Newark board of Education is continuing with Remote Learning during the 1st marking cycle. To ensure students’academic success, Newark Board of Education issued chromebooks to students and provided Optimum Online wifi access. This support will continue for the 2020/2021 school year.
For the students who do not have a signal for optimum wifi in their neighborhoods the district will make HOTSPOT wifi
available.
PLEASE NOTE THAT OPTUMUM ONLINE WIFI PURCHASED BY THE DISTRICT WILL NOT WORK ON PERSONAL DEVICES
It is important that you complete the survey below if you require HOTSPOT wifi access.
NBOE SUPPORTS STUDENTS WITH ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Additionally, Newark Board of Education has purchased an additional supply of chromebooks and are awaiting the delivery. Because of the high demand for these devices there is a major backlog that has extended the delivery date. I am confident our Executive Director of Information Technology will secure the earliest delivery date possible at this time.
WHAT DEVICE DO YOU HAVE?
Newark Board of Education has updated the chromebook models to ensure students receive quality devices. Therefore, the Lenovo THINKPAD 11e 1st Generation has been replaced with the Hewlett Packard Chrome Book. The Lenovo THINKPAD will no longer work this school year.
It is important that you complete the survey below if you have a Lenovo THINKPAD or do no have a chrome book.
