Our senior of the month is Shah Mubin who is 18 years old. Shah was born in a small city of Bangladesh and was raised there with his two younger brothers. He was a student of Habiganj Government High School, where he completed his Freshman year . His family moved to the United States in 2016 when he was 16 years old, when he arrived he did not speak any English. Shah taught himself how to speak in English by reading subtitles from English movies and by reading books. When he moved to Newark, he was enrolled at West Side High School as a Sophomore. He transferred to East Side High School in his Junior year and it’s been one of the best decisions of his life. Shah presently has a cumulative GPA of 4. 1 and is ranked 16th in his senior class. He is also enrolled in AP Calculus and is a member of the National Honor Society. Shah is friendly, helpful and kind and is very well liked by his peers. One day he would like to become a psychiatrist so that he can help people cope with their mental health. He wants to either attend Rutgers University in New Brunswick or The College of New Jersey. Shah is a remarkable young man and we congratulate him on being our Senior of the month.
