These two individuals are outstanding role models.
Our valedictorian for the Class of 2018 is Mr. Xavier Romero with a cumulative GPA of 4.181. Xavier was born in Murcia, Spain where he lived until he was 10 years old, he then moved to Ecuador for four years. His family decided to move again to the United States so that Xavier could get a better education and a brighter future. He came to East Side as a sophomore and immediately studied hard to improve his English and become a good student. Xavier has always valued education and he gives much credit to his teachers and other students here at East Side High School for their support and kindness. Xavier is an exceptional young man. He is very humble, kind and well-liked by his peers. It is his dream to become a mechanical engineer. With his commitment to education and hard work, there is no doubt that Xavier will achieve his dream. So, congratulations to Xavier Romero for being our Valedictorian of the Class of 2018.
