Catuxa Tato

As we wind down our school year, the student Council recognizes outstanding students and staff for their contributions to our school.  As in the past, our last month honorees are the Valedictorian and Salutatorian of the Class of 2018 and our retirees.  Our Valedictorian and Salutatorian of the Class of 2018 will be forever be remembered not only for their excellence in the classroom but for their contributions to our school and community.  These two individuals are outstanding role models.  \

Our salutatorian of the Class of 2018 is Ms. Catuxa Tato, with a cumulative GPA of 4.176. Catuxa was born in Galicia, Spain and came to the United States when she was 5 years old.  Catuxa has been enrolled in our early college program and has taken all AP and Honors classes while being involved in a host of activities at school and in the community; especially her involvement at Club Espana where she has danced and played in the music group. She will graduate from East Side with an Associate Degree and attend Rutgers Newark in the fall to finish her bachelor degree. Catuxa hopes to attend medical school and become a dermatologist.  So, congratulations to the Class of 2018 Salutatorian Catuxa Tato.
