Organizations for Youth

The following organizations support our student body

  • Hetrick Martin Institute: We are a space for LGBTQ+ youth and allies; we meet each Tuesday during lunch periods (starting on 10/29) and discuss a range of topics from dating and relationships to arts and culture. Our groups are youth-led and the content is chosen based on what participants are interested in talking about. We also provide individual counseling for anyone who is interested in discussing something more in-depth or working through a particular challenge.
  • #CAP: College Admissions Process is organized by the Beta Alpha Omega chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Alpha Kappa Alpha is dedicated to implementing programs of service that enhance the social, economic, and educational well-being of the local, national and international communities. Programs remain the heart of AKA. The size and scope of services provided to our communities have grown and significantly improve the quality of life for all who reside within our service areas.
  • The Brotherhood (Montclair State University): We are an organization geared towards–but not limited to– aiding Black and Hispanic males from an academic, professional, and social standpoint. We hold weekly meetings, which vary from a diverse number of social topics and issues that go unnoticed. We pride ourselves on using our resources, connections, and knowledge to rebut the stereotype of minority males and females.
